The Organisation of Rural Associations for Progress (ORAP), a leading local non-governmental organisation, is inviting suitably qualified and motivated candidates to fill vacancies for the upcoming Lean Season Assistance (LSA) Program. All positions will only become available pending funding approval from the donor.

Purpose of the Job
To provide leadership in the project planning, implementation and monitoring of key project activities at district level. The incumbent coordinates with relevant stakeholders, and service providers at district level. He/she is expected to lead the project team by promoting innovative strategies on disaster resilient livelihoods initiatives as complementary activities to the LSA project.

Duties Include
Liaising with stakeholders and service providers on relevant project activities and attending district and partner coordination meetings; Planning and implemening project interventions at district level on a daily basis; Supervising the district team to ensure that the project interventions are delivered to the appropriate target population; Producing weekly, monthly, quarterly , and end of project reports, in compliance with the donor requirements; Coordinate the Monitoring and evaluation of all project interventions at district level; Facilitating trainings at community level.

Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Development Studies, or equivalent; Work experience in Emergency Food Relief programming majoring in both food and cash transfers modalities; Minimum of five years in an NGO Environment, with 2 years at supervisory level with a proven experience in resilient livelihood centred approaches on food security and vulnerability reduction; Experience in HIV/AIDS, Gender mainstreaming and Child Protection issues in Livelihoods Programming; A clean class four driver’s license with two years driving experience is a prerequisite; Excellent computer skills (MS word, Excel, Power-point, and Data-base); Fluency in English and Local Languages of the stated areas of operation; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Must have an appreciation and passion for ORAP values.
