Support Officer x2 – FACT Zimbabwe
Location: Mashonaland West Province (Makonde and Hurungwe Districts)
Project Summary
FACT Zimbabwe is a local Christian NGO implementing a UNFPA supported project. The Spotlight Initiative will advance the elimination of sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices through a broad partnership with civil society, government, private sector, media and build a social movement of women, men, girls and boys as champions and agents of change. A specific focus will be on reaching and including women and girls who are most isolated and vulnerable to violence due to intersecting forms of discrimination.
Position Summary
The Support Officers will be under the supervision of the Program Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for the running of program activities in districts in Makonde and Hurungwe Districts. The Support Officer will be stationed in one of the districts in the mentioned to deliver adequate technical support for all community structures within the programme. The incumbent must be able to create programme activity plans and generates day to day implementation of programme activities with the assistance of the Program Officer. The Support Officer must generate and maintain a data base on project beneficiaries and activities; and comply periodic project reports for submission to the Program Officer. Any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Requirements
University Degree in Social Sciences or Gender and Policy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal English, as well as an ability to meet deadlines and work independently; Strong writing skills are particularly important for this position; Must have at least 2 years’ working experience, much of it should be experience in the NGO sector and field work experience. Clean Class 4 Driver’s License is a MUST.
