Position Summary: Staysun Investments T/A LIGI PRODUCTS is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Storesman. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective receipt, storage, issuance, and control of all stock items in accordance with company procedures and internal control standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming stock and deliveries.
  • Issue stock strictly against authorized requisitions and maintain accurate bin cards and stock records.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and participate in monthly and ad-hoc stock takes.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of goods to prevent loss, damage, or expiry.
  • Promoting storeroom hygiene and security at all times.
  • Monitor stock levels and promptly report shortages, variances, slow-moving products.
  • Adhere to company policies, internal controls, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Liaise with procurement, finance, and unit operations on stock-related matters.
  • Prepare and submit routine stock reports as required.

Requirements

  • Higher Diploma in Stores Management / Purchasing and Supply Management.
  • 3 – 4 years’ proven experience as a Storesman (preferably in hospitality and retail).
  • Strong numeracy and record-keeping skills. Understanding of FIFO / FEFO principles.
  • Knowledge of bin cards, GRVs, IBTs, requisitions, and stock variance control.
  • Basic knowledge of internal controls and loss prevention.
  • High levels of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High integrity and commitment to loss control.
