The following vacancy has arisen within First Mutual Holdings Limited in the Group Shared Services. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill this vacancy.
The Job Reporting to the Group ICT Executive, the successful candidate All be responsible for the following:
• Assessing user needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes).
• Analyzing business operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to uncover opportunities for improvements.
• Developing custom integration solutions including major enhancements, interfaces, functions and features.
• Developing/building IT solutions to meet business requirements.
• Assisting in defining DevOps and quality guidelines and standards
• Contributing to deployment plans; schedules the installation of new modules, upgrades and fixes to the production environment
• Creating and sharing development estimates and operational requirements to enable accurate planning with realistic timelines.
• Evaluating existing applications and platforms and provides recommendations for improving performance by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of modifications.
• Developing user guides and training documentation for systems
• Participating in the development of contingency plans including reliable backup and restore procedures.
• Evaluating new application packages and tools and performs research on best practices
• Evaluating vendor solutions to ensure compliance with requirements and cost effectiveness
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Software Engineering or related.
• At least 3 years in software development, with demonstrable projects/products as evidence
• Agile software frameworks and popular coding languages e.g. PHP, VB.NET, Laravel. Python, .NET Framework.
• Knowledge of Relational Database management and Reporting Tools Preferred Requirements
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies • Results oriented with good self- management skills.
• Must be able to work independently
