Looking for a Senior Geologist to be based in Hwange on a Coal Mine. Must have at least 10 years in the mining industry and coal mining experience is a requirement.

Responsibilities
Using advanced professional knowledge, work with your fellow mining colleagues on a variety of internal and/or external requests such as helping to process samples onsite from the exploration geology department and developing and updating mineral reserve and resource models for estimating reserves and resources.
Work with the Mine Manager on new work approaches, methods, and policies to optimize performance and to ensure adherence to industry regulations and organizational standards.
Implement processes, policies, systems, and practices that contribute to effective geology operations.
Monitors costs related to geology and the mine operations as well as implementing approved recommendations for maximizing operational efficiencies.
Collaborates with senior management to identify and analyze business requirements; identifies gaps and implements agreed upon solutions.
Identifies key performance measures for the team; monitors and reports on the achievement of targets and revises strategies as needed.

Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Geology
Minimum of 10 years experience – 3 years’ experience at a similar level
MUST HAVE COAL MINING EXPERIENCE
