Senior Associate -Audit (quote reference HC 2020-02)
Key job functions
- Lead audit teams
- Risk management and background searches to evaluate new clients and appropriateness of services to be rendered
- Creation of audit client files
- Drafting of engagement letters and time budgets for audit engagements
- Ensuring that significant risks are identified at all stages of the audit and understood by all team members
- Reviewing the work of and training less experienced team members on assignments
- Developing work plans and audit approach for engagements
- Preparing financial statements
- Keeping abreast of technical change in International Financial Reporting Standards
- Carrying out independence and conflict checks
The ideal candidate should have the following attributes:
- An accounting degree and a certificate in the theory of accounting
- Relevant trainee accountant experience
- Willing to travel within and out of Zimbabwe from time to time
- Good interpersonal and client relationship management skills
Must be self-driven and a team player
