Section Engineer Boilers
Key Responsibilities
•Plans, directs and leads the activities of complex engineering projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time and within funding parameters
•Establishes work plans for each phase of the project; works with internal and external project resources to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.
•Implements and manages SHERQ activities in line with the IMS system, including carrying HIRAs
•Coordinates, reviews processes for designs, studies, HAZOPS, technical reports
•Monitors the scope of works within Employer’s Requirements
•Prepares project reports and provides management updates, leads project teams with cross functional members to achieve successful outcome.
•Coordinates project activities under Boilers section and resources with a focus on critical milestones to ensure effective and timely execution of projects.
•Provides project and contract management leadership for capital projects including scope creation, scheduling, and budget management
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
•A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
•8 years engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environments and/or experience in design and manufacturing of boiler.
•Experience in power generation projects
•Professional Engineering MEMBERSHIP ZIE and ECZ.
•Project Management Professional certification (PRINCE2/PMP)
•Familiar with the EPC FIDIC contracts
•Strong technical, problem solving, decision-making, project management, and computer skills
•Familiar with Integrated Management System (IMS) activities, especial Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS)
•Ability to develop and use the Inspection Test Plans (ITP)
•Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and work in a team environment
•Knowledge of the relevant ASME’s Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC)
