Duration of employment: 6 months (April 2019 – September 2019)

Location where study activities will be conducted: Harare Central Hospital, Chitungwiza General Hospital, Primary Clinics from the City of Harare; community work within Harare.

The FIEBRE study is aiming to evaluate the causes of fever in adults and children aged ≥2 months from five countries in Africa and South-East Asia.

Qualifications

Previous research experience is required; A university degree or other qualification is desirable; Ability to do voluntary counselling and HIV testing; Excellent verbal and written Shona and English fluency.

Responsibilities

Recruiting and obtaining informed consent from study participants; Liaising with other members of the study team; Liaising with relevant healthcare workers (treating physicians, nurses) to provide timely feed-back on test results for the study participants; Maintaining accurate data collection records; To carry out other tasks which may occasionally be necessary appropriate to the post, as determined by the line manager.
