Job Description
Zvitambo is seeking two research assistants to support the conduct of a climate change and nutrition study in Shurugwi and Murewa. The post holder will support qualitative data collection including note taking, transcription of data, and other supportive qualitative research tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support all qualitative data collection
• Take detailed notes in all community exchanges
• Transcribe all data collected
• Engage in other administrative tasks
Qualifications and Experience
• The candidate must have a BSc degree in Nutrition, Health, or other Social Sciences
1. Required competencies
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in Shona
• Organised and able to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Sensitivity to local context
2. Desirable competencies:
• Experience in qualitative methodologies
• Knowledge or fluency of Ndebele
