Key Responsibilities
- Managing and co-ordinating energy efficiency projects and programmes undertaken by the Authority or third-party institutions.
- Assist in developing energy efficiency codes, standards, regulations and energy management systems.
- Identifying, investigating and implementing energy efficiency pilot projects for promotion of new technologies.
- Enforcement of minimum energy performance standards and energy management regulations.
- Assisting in concept development and participating in the formulation of energy Research projects, independently evaluating proposals and selecting the same.
- Coordinate Research and Development in the energy sector.
- Advising/educating consumers and licensees regarding the efficient use of energy
- Developing/creating promotional material for energy efficiency awareness.
- Facilitates energy efficiency seminars/workshops and awareness campaigns and exhibition platforms countrywide.
- Assist in energy data analytics and reporting.
Requirements
- BSc Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 years’ hands on experience of which 2 years must have been at mid-managerial level within the Energy sector, energy management or Intensive Energy Use.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) qualification.
- Energy efficiency and energy management knowledge essential
- Project Management experience and research skills
- Ability to work with other professionals in the industry.
- Data analytics and reporting.
- Good communication skills both written and oral.
- A Master’s degree in the relevant area will be an added advantage.
