Project Background

FHI 360’s Zimbabwe HIV Care and Treatment (ZHCT) project (2015-2020) is PEPFAR funded through USAID to implement community-based interventions that complement the Ministry of Health and Child Care’s (MOHCC’s) response to the HIV epidemic. The ZHCT project, whose overall goal is to strengthen community-health facility linkages, is implemented in eight districts across three provinces: Mutasa and Makoni (Manicaland), Kwekwe, Gokwe South (Midlands), Gutu, Zaka, Mwenezi, and Chivi (Masvingo), and contributes towards the attainment of the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets in Zimbabwe.

The ZHCT Project is currently seeking;

1. Consultancy services to provide short-term technical assistance and expertise to the MOHCC HIV Care and Treatment program under the AIDS &TB Unit, for the standardisation of the defaulter tracking model and tools. The individual(s)/organisation will support MOHCC to document and review tools currently being used to track antiretroviral therapy (ART) defaulters in Zimbabwe. The overall objective of the consultancy is to work in close collaboration with the MOHCC and relevant stakeholders at national, provincial and district levels to develop a package of standardised tools and job aids to guide the implementation, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of ART defaulter tracking in Zimbabwe.

2. Expressions of interest (EOI) from Zimbabwean local organisations (non-governmental organizations [NGOs], community-based organizations [CBOs], and faith-based organizations [FBOs]) based in the following provinces; Manicaland, Midlands and Masvingo. The organization(s) will partner with FHI 360 to scale-up comprehensive and high-quality HIV care and treatment services at community level.
