Registered General Nurse
REPORTING TO SISTER IN CHARGE

ROLE SUMMARY
As the registered general nurse you shall be performing all nursing duties according to laid down nursing SOPs, screening patients at the reception area, attending to and doing procedures as well as setting trolleys properly,-doing dressings, entering details into electronic Patient Management System, charging drugs and sundries accordingly, maintaining stock balances ,ordering drugs and sundries and maintaining adequate levels.
- Checking machines and gadgets regularly and ensuring they are in good working order so as not to compromise service delivery and reporting to maintenance issues immediately, entering patients details in proper registers and follow up on results, carry-out doctor’s orders timeously, monitoring patients in the observation ward
- Discharges and transfers for admitted patients
- Training nurse aides in the clinic and junior nursing staff.
- Preparing timetables for doctors, nurses and nurse aides-
- Writing typed monthly reports , conflict resolution, to identify areas to improve operational efficiencies to ensure sustainability
- Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes , identify areas of non-compliance with clinical, hospital and medical healthcare service
- monitor safety standards in accordance with machine and occupational safety act
- ensure compliance with the medication, administration and storage facilities
Qualifications
1. Degree or Diploma in Nursing
2. 5 years experience
