Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Registered General Nurse /Anaesthetist that has arisen at Nectacare Private Limited (Zvishavane)
Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Nursing Officer in Charge (Theatre) the main responsibilities for the Job are:
• Carries out a full pre-operative assessment of patients.
• Inducts, adequately maintains, and monitors safe conduct of anaesthesia technique.
• Gives injections, drugs, infusions, and transfusions with accurate recording.
• Performs aseptic and preventative measures including adherence to infection prevention and control policy.
• Ensures anaesthetic equipment is in good working order.
• Accounts for supplied stocks at the end of each shift.
Qualifications And Experience
- Diploma in General Nursing
• Diploma in Anaesthesia
• Counselling certificate or diploma will be an added advantage.
• Valid Practicing Certificate from the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
• 3 years post qualification experience in nursing with experience in administering anesthesia.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong client-focus
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn.
• Flexible and adaptable, contributing to a positive team environment.
• Commitment to handling private and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
