Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitating licensing of fuel and LPG operators in the region.
  • Carrying out routine and pre-licensing inspections for fuel and LPG sites.
  • Carrying out compliance monitoring to ensure all fuel and gas operators licensees are compliant to licensing, pricing and technical requirements.
  • Administering the prosecution of operators violating licensing, pricing and technical regulations and standards.
  • Ensuring returns are diligently submitted by all licensees.
  • Facilitating training of LPG and fuel operators on petroleum standards and regulations.
  • Assisting with investigations of complaints/disputes/incidents/accidents in the petroleum industry.
  • Participates in regional consumer and stakeholder education and awareness programs.
  • Carrying out any other related duties including liquid fuel sites inspections and audits as assigned.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Civil/Mechanical/Fuels/Chemical Engineering from a recognised technical training institution or university.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the petroleum industry covering LPG and Fuel installations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety, health, environment and quality systems for the petroleum industry.
  • Knowledge of petroleum industry standards and codes will be an added advantage.
  • Clean class 4 driver’s licence is a necessary.
