PROJECTS OFFICER: INFRASTRUCTURE AND ESTATES MANAGEMENT UNIT (1 POST)
The incumbent will report to the Director, Infrastructure and Estates Management
Duties And Responsibilities
Coordinating and supervising the University’s construction projects
· Participating in developing construction project proposals and designs, scope and specifications of works, quantity and cost estimates, program of works, annual plans and budgets
· Ensuring compliance with regulations relating to building construction including approvals
· Liaising with contractors and other project team players and stakeholders on project requirements
· Monitoring and evaluation of project progress
· Creating and maintaining project records
· Performing any other duties as assigned by the Director, Infrastructure and Estates Management
Qualifications And Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering/ Structural Engineering;
· At least two (2) years post qualification work experience in coordination/ management of construction projects;
· Registered member of a professional body;
· Proficiency in preparing and interpreting program of works using software such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Gant Charts, and other project management packages;
· Ability to multi-task;
· Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; and
· Strong report writing skills
