Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with the PPDPA Act [Chapter 22:23], internal regulations, and PRAZ guidelines.
- Assist in developing and implementing the annual procurement plan.
- Consolidate departmental procurement needs and verify specifications.
- Coordinates tender/bidding processes and Requests For Proposals/Quotation (RFPs) in line with Procurement policy dictates, work plans and budgets.
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and support supplier performance assessments.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, registers, and audit trails.
- Negotiates for favourable contract terms with suppliers under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer.
Requirements
- A degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in Procurement, preferably in a public sector, Regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of the PPDPA Act Chapter [22.23], PRAZ requirements, and public sector procurement processes.
- Attributes: Strong understanding of procurement laws and best practices.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- High ethical standards and commitment to transparency.
- Strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with EGP systems is a must.
