VACANCY: Procurement Officer (GRADE 9)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above mentioned post which has arisen within the organization.

Qualifications and attributes

• Minimum of Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply • A degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage • Must be computer literate • A clearance letter from ZRP • At least 30 years of age

Key result areas

• Overseeing procurement of goods and services for Council in line with procurement regulations • Prepare a procurement plan for the Council • Advise the Accounting Officer on procurement matters • Producing monthly procurement reports for the Accounting Officer • Encouraging local suppliers to register with the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe • Prepare bidding documents for the local authority • Determine applicable procurement methods to be used when requests are received from departments • Supervise staff in the procurement section
