Personal attributes
• Ability to act with utmost propriety and honesty • Capacity to exercise fair competitive access by bidders to procurement proceedings including awarding. • Ability to keep confidential information including bidder’s proprietary information and to abide by the code of conduct in terms of section 7t of the procurement Act. • Knowledge of the public Procurement and Disposal Act • Willing to work under pressure and minimum supervision.
Job descriptions
• Develop and implement procurement plans for the purchasing of equipment, supply and services in line with the procurement regulations. • Manage procurement contracts (tenders) and make professional decisions in a fast paced environment • Maintain records of purchases, pricing and other important data • Preparing bidding documents in compliance with provisions of procurement Act. • Creates and maintain good relations with vendors and suppliers Producing monthly procurement reports for the accounting officer Preparing a procurement plan Carry out any other duties as assigned.
