PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS ASSISTANT
REPORTING TO: PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS OFFICER
Main Responsibilities
Logistics:
Assets Management:- Receiving, marking and branding of all procured/ acquired assets in tandem with donor guidelines.
-Carry out physical asset verifications and produce reports of the same.
-Generation of Assets Room Sheets.
-Update and maintain an accurate Asset Register.
-Identification and recommendation of assets for disposal and produce a disposal recommendation report(s).
Management of Office Store room. Devise control and monitoring mechanism and regular submission of stock status reports to ensure that stocks will be available when required
Receiving of commodities in line with the specifications contained in the Requisitions and Purchase Order or Contract.Procurement:
Assist with the preparation and issuance of Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP).Assist in the preparation of Purchase Orders and Contracts for commodities.Assist with hotel accommodation and conferencing facilities booking.Expediting of placed orders.Perform any other related duties and activities as may be directed by the Procurement & Logistics Officer.
Functional & Technical Competencies (Minimum)
- Analytical and meticulous.Planning, designing and networking logistical skills.Design, storage and distribution skills.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages eg. Excel, Word, PowerPoint etcQualifications and Experience
- Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or equivalent.At least 1-year experience.Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification is an added advantage.Experience in working in Non-Governmental Organizations will be preferred.Application procedures
