Payroll Officer

The Payroll Officer shall be responsible for assisting in the implementation and administration of the organisation’s compensation and benefit plans. The Payroll Officer will also be ‘ responsible for processing of the organisations payroll and compensation systems.

Reporting to the Payroll Administrator, the job is based at the Head Office and responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties:

• Timely and accurate processing of end to end payroll including salary packaging, leave management and statutory administration.
• Respond to staff wage and salary queries Interpreting and applying a variety of policies.
• Assist management by providing necessary reports.
• Contribute to developing a safe workplace for self and fellow employees
• Participate in organization wide, site based and team meetings, collaborative planning activities and other meetings or activities relevant to position
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes ensuring services meet professional and industry standards

Minimum qualifications

• A level Passes
• Diploma in HR/ Payroll Management/Finance. Degree in FIR Management an added advantage.
• 3 years’ experience as Payroll Officer processing large payrolls in a business environment
• Experience using ERP systems Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
• Demonstrated ability to be organised, prioritise work, and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
