PAYROLL MANAGER
Reporting To: The Human Capital Operations Executive
Purpose of Role:
-
To support the design, management and implementation of the To support the design, management and implementation of the Total talent Reward offering in order to support the attraction, motivation and retention of talent across the business.
-
To lead and Supervise the Payroll Function to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processes and execution.
-
To manage and maintain governance for all Payroll Processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
-
To address gaps in process, governance and audit findings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Assists with providing reward advice to the business in the form of reward levels and structures at time of appointment, annual reward reviews, interim reviews and general reward guidance.

Assists with remuneration surveys, working with the Human Capital Operations Executive, Human Capital Business Partners and Line Managers to ensure accurate matching of jobs.

Assists in annual budget preparations with survey companies and submit data in a timely and accurate fashion.
-
To work with the Human Capital Operations Executive and Head of Human Capital to prepare for Human Capital Remuneration Committee meetings and assist with communicating findings appropriately.

Responsible for Human Capital Operations Executive during the Annual Reward process.
-
Liaise with IT in order to ensure that all salary scales, performance
increases and other system changes are effected. -
Work with business units to ensure that salary increases are decided
upon in line with the guidelines and agreed time-frame. -
Assists in Coordinating the annual bonus process.

Collaborates to ensure the annual bonus process unit for review by the People Operations Officer and Head of Human Capital.

Assists in preparing a comprehensive review of the actual increases and bonuses for reporting purposes to the HCEO, CFO, CHO, HR & OD and HR and Remuneration Committee.

Beyond transitions / refreshments / retirements etc, and communicate to relevant parties.

Acts as the Payroll Interface for all payroll transaction changes and payroll expense allocation.

Assisting in conducting HR and Business training on Reward and Benefits.

To ensure that all payroll submissions are made on time and in the correct format.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
-
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, or related field.
-
Post graduate qualification in reward management or payroll
(e.g., CIPD, CPP). -
Minimum 5 years of experience in reward and payroll management.

Assess payroll controls and practices to ensure ongoing governance.

Immediately address all Audit findings.

Management of payroll costs with Human Capital Operations Executive, Head of Human Capital and line managers.

Maintain budgeted vs actual, actual vs budgeted headcount, actual versus budgeted people costs, actual versus budgeted overtime, leave balances.
-
Tracks vacancy savings.
-
Manager leave balances with Human Capital Business partners.
-
People plan with Human Capital Operations Executive, People Business Partners and line managers to manage people costs.
-
Assists in building a culture of fairness and transparency in all reward processes.
-
Assist with the entire leave process from the separation of data through to the generation of charges and reconciliants.
-
Collaborate with the Human Capital Operations Executive and the Head of Human Capital to ensure Job evaluation at grade and band and giving the appropriate feedback and support to Human Capital BusinessPartners and line managers.

Assist the Human Capital Executive with the quarterly reporting for
OPCO meetings. -
Drives system change management related to Reward projects and interventions.
-
Collaborates in specific Remuneration and Policy projects in order to create new products or enhance existing ones in line with EmployeeValue Proposition.
