PACKAGING TEAM LEADER (Hay Band E)

Applications arc invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above position that has arisen in the Packaging Department. Incumbent will be based m Bulawayo at Bon Accord Plant.
The Job
Reporting to the Packaging Unit Manager, the successful applicant will be, among other key aspects, responsible for: •
- Interpreting and implementing production plan for shift.
- Monitoring production process.
- Ensuring quality at source.
- Implementing planned and preventive maintenance tasks as per schedule
- Optimising plant and equipment availability.
- Translating and implementing packaging manufacturing and business strategies
- Developing team members and cultivating team work
- Participating in problem solving.
- Preparing reports.
- Ensuring compliance to safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental standards.
The Person
The ideal applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes: –
- BSc Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree.
- Packaging diploma an added advantage.
- World Class Manufacturing strategies and initiatives knowledge.
- 2 years’ hands-on experience in a packaging environment.
- Possession of supervisory and coaching skills.
- Possession of strong analytical and methodical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer, communication and interpersonal skills. SAP knowledge a prerequisite.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing, quality and SHE systems.
