Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate the application of the four layers of ORM: Baseline, Issue-based, Task, and Continuous risk management
- Advise on skills development for employees and contractors in operational risk management
- Maintain operational risk management information systems
- Report, monitor, and track operational risk performance
- Provide risk-based operational input to management and ensure compliance with standards
- Build stakeholder relationships supporting project objectives
- Promote a high-performing, inclusive, and safety-focused work culture
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Safety/OHS, Natural Sciences, or related fields
- Professional risk or SHE certifications (advantageous)
- Minimum of 5 years in Risk, Safety, or HSE roles, preferably in mining or heavy industry
- Knowledge of SHEQ systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001)
- Experience with risk assessment techniques (WRAC, Bow-tie, JRAs)
- Computer literacy (MS Office, Project)
- Valid Class 4 Driver’s License
