TERMS OF REFERENCE For ONLINE CAMPAIGNS VOLUNTEER
About WCoZ
Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe (WCoZ), is a network of women’s rights activists and women’s rights organizations in Zimbabwe with national structures established in 1999. WCoZ brings women from diverse backgrounds to advocate for the attainment and enjoyment of their socio-economic and political rights, and ensure that the women and girls empowerment agenda remains central to the national agenda.
Background of the Project
Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe (WCoZ) is It is against this background that WCoZ is seeking to engage an Online campaigns volunteer, to support the Organisation with mobilisation for gender equality and women’s rights advocacy through social media campaigns and radio programs. The volunteer will need a
complete understanding of how both organic and paid social media works, as they will be planning paid social media campaigns and feeding into social content strategy. The role also requires linking with staff and volunteers to plan content in a joined-up way ensuring all stakeholders can contribute to and understand the plans. and social media campaigns to raise awareness of women’s rights and legislative processes.
Key responsibilities as our Online Campaigns Volunteer:
● Generate bold, creative, share-worthy content.
● Maintain a solid understanding of the changing needs of our social audiences and the channels
they use, plan and schedule organic and paid social campaigns
● Analyse ongoing results to identify trends and insights. Share insight to the wider team to reflect goals, and share learnings on how this will link to the project
● Manage dialogue with WCoZ social media communities by responding to and driving conversations
● Play an active role in preparing for, and responding to, issues affecting brand perception and reputation on WCoZ online platforms
● Provide insights on how to engage and influence audiences on social media and other online platforms.
● Continually survey the online landscape to spot and analyse trends, new measurement tools and opportunities to grow and to connect to audiences to help them achieve their goals
Undertake other duties or special projects as defined
What we are looking for in our Online Campaigns Volunteer:
● Excellent writing skills, with a particular talent for writing succinctly and with personality
● Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
● Existing ability or a willingness to learn to work with a social media channel management software and Google Analytics
● Excellent knowledge of mainstream social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook, an understanding of their content formats and how audiences use them
● Digital content creation experience for social media will be an added advantage
● Successful experience of using social media platforms to run paid campaigns
● Graphic designing ability will be an added advantage
Duration
3 months contract with possibility of extension. An allowance will be availed for the volunteer
Expected Qualifications
The applicant should have or be completing an academic qualification in Marketing, Digital
Marketing, Communications or any related field.
The Applicant must have a keen interest in women’s rights and issues affecting women and
girls
