POSITION : NETWORK AND INFRASTRUCTURE OFFICER
REPORTING TO: HEALTH INFORMATION SYSTEMS OFFICER
PERIOD : FIVE-YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT
STATION:  HARARE

Key Result Areas

1. Performing NBSZ network environment needs assessment, installing upgrades and monitoring network performance.
2. Installing, upgrading and managing blood bank information systems.
3. Administering the NBSZ firewall.
4. Developing ICT standard operating procedures in accordance with the organization’s ICT Policy.
5. Training of ICT users and Interns.
6. Facilitating the development, testing and reviewing of ICT DRP in accordance with the organisation’s ICT policy.
7. Backing up of network configurations.
8. Drafting ICT Change Management plans.
9. Implementing internal and external Service Level Agreements.
10. Recommending contemporary network and databases technologies for implementation as necessary.
11. Administering the CCTV, Access Control, Laboratory Information system interfaces, VoIP and Telephone Systems.
12. Identifying appropriate ICT staff and user trainings as necessary.
13. Performing ICT hardware and software maintenance in accordance with the organisation’s ICT policy.

Person Specification
1. Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Information Communication Technology/ Computer Science.
2. A Networking qualification.
3. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
4. A clean class 4 driver’s licence.
