Motor Mechanic – Naijamotors
The position requires a qualified Artisan Motor Mechanic responsible for inspection, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing light vehicles with special emphasis on Toyota brands
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Attending to vehicle breakdowns immediately as they occur,
• Carry out repairs, maintenance and diagnostic tests on light vehicles following laid down procedures,
• Troubleshooting reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner,
• Disassembling and reassembling light motor vehicles equipment from technical manuals, written procedures and/or verbal instructions while adhering to all company safety and quality standards,
• Keeping equipment available for use by inspecting, testing and completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, suspension checks and wheel balancing,
• Performing Risk Assessments for every task, maintaining and focusing on safe work practices and a safe work environment.
Education, Skills and Experience:
• Holds a National certificate in Motor vehicles mechanics
• An apprenticeship trained class 1 journeyman Motor Mechanics to include Tractor and Diesel
• Atleast 5 years post qualifying experience of which 2 years must in maintenance of Toyota Vehicles,
• Or Class I trade tested Motor Mechanic to include Tractor and Diesel with 7 years experience of which 2 yearss must be in maintenance of Toyota Vehicles
• Ability to work under minimum supervision,
• Must be adaptable, self-starter, reliable, firm and stem
• Clean Class 4 drivers license
