Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Wanted

Purpose
The incumbent will assist in monitoring and evaluation activities.

Major Responsibilities
Review existing M&E system and make recommendations for improvements; Lead the implementation of the project M&E system; Lead the implementation of monitoring and evaluation assessments-baseline, mid-term and end of project surveys; Design data collection tools and training of staff and stakeholders in the use of the tools; Ensure timely and accurate collection of routine indicator data; Conduct routine field monitoring visits and verifications; Document best practices and implementing an effective information dissemination system; Design and ensure effective functionality of the Project Complaints and Feedback mechanisms; Maintain project beneficiary and M&E databases; Conduct data analysis and produce M&E reports; Conduct M&E capacity training for staff and beneficiaries; Assist in drafting of project proposals and concept notes; Any other duties as assigned by the Programmes Manager.

Knowledge and Skills Required in Achieving Role’s Objective
Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation – Master’s Degree will be an added advantage; Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in a similar role in an NGO environment; Sound knowledge of M & E tools; Experience in proposal development; Clean class 4 driver’s license.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Ability to organize own work and work independently; Good report writing skills; Good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills; Highly computer literate; Ability to use data analysis packages such as SPSS, CS-Pro, Advanced Excel
