Position Overview
The International Rescue Committee is seeking Monitoring & Evaluation Interns for the ZRBF program intervention being implemented in Nyanga and Beitbridge District. You will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of project M&E activities and assist in regular monitoring of the project deliverable and processes. The M & E Intern will report directly to the M&E Manager, with a dotted line to the District Coordinators. To apply for the position you should have a passion in M & E, recent graduate or currently studying towards Monitoring & Evaluation degree / Statistics Degree.
Responsibilities
Assisting in the crafting and management of the PROGRESS project database including M&E systems tools and templates to monitor performance. This includes development of log frames, PMP, and data collection tools, as well as processes for data analysis; Devise methods and procedures for specifically obtaining required agricultural and market data and understanding and interpreting that data; Assisting on the collection and analysis of quantitative data to measure the agreed indicators; Assist project staff to assure data quality collected; ensure that data is collected and accurately entered into databases monthly; Assist on the collection of qualitative information using best practice processes to measure indicators; Analyze and communicate data to the project team, the M&E team, and other relevant staff for reporting and serve any other data needs as may be required; Ensure transparency in accounting, reporting and documenting PROGRESS project activities, and ensure compliance with donor and IRC M&E policies and best practice
Coordination and Representation
Participate in the development of M&E indicators, standards and, guidelines and with other implementation partners
Training and Capacity Building
Conduct relevant project and partner staff trainings in M&E, especially in the areas of basic concepts of M&E, qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection, analysis and use of M&E data; Provide feedback to the program manager in evaluating project teams’ M&E skills/assist in staff capacity assessment to track M&E capacity building needs; Regularly visit all field sites to ensure that M&E is being implemented effectively by staff and produce related monitoring reports

Required Qualifications
Recent graduate or currently studying towards a Degree/Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation or Statistics; Good MS Excel skills is a requirement
