Duties And Responsibilities
- Expedite all geological duties in the operation
- Provide geological support to the operation, working closely with the mining production team
- Grade control including sampling and monitoring of mining areas, data entry, grade estimation, presentation of results and support to production in the most efficient method for the extraction of both ore and waste
- Maintaining data bases for production and reconciliation purposes
- Continual improvement of existing processes in both grade and ground control
- Lithological and Geotechnical core logging
- Structural mapping and maintain a geotechnical database for open pits, stockpiles and dumps
- Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and ISO Standards.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Geology or equivalent
- At least 3 years working in a mining environment
- Proficiency with geological modelling software packages
- Working knowledge of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems.
