M&E Officers – x5 : Organisation of Rural Associations for Progress (ORAP)

The Organisation of Rural Associations for Progress (ORAP), a leading local non-governmental organisation, is inviting suitably qualified and motivated candidates to fill vacancies for the upcoming Lean Season Assistance (LSA) Program. All positions will only become available pending funding approval from the donor.

Reports To: M&E Manager

Duties Include:
Developing and implementing district level M&E work plans in liaison with the M&E Manager; Consolidating reports and mantaining relevant program data bases; Facilitating surveys, evaluations and and other special studies and assessments required for evaluating project effects and impacts; Providing weekly update on programme activities to the M& E manager; Promoting and executing all M&E functions, procedures and accountability standards in the district; Maintaining and updating the tracker for programme indicators and monitoring activities; Organising program review meetings with stakeholders, beneficiaries and programming staff; Conducting beneficiary verifications to ensure effective targeting at community level; Managing the systematic filing of all soft and hard copy district M&E information.

Qualifications and Experience
A Degree/Diploma in Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies or equivalent; At least 2 years hands on experience in the implementation of M&E systems; including qualitative and quantitative approaches to assessment and monitoring; Experience in participatory assessment, monitoring and evaluation, training and facilitation, data collection, processing or analysis; Knowledge of computer based statistical packages including SPSS, CsPro, Epinfo and Excel; Good reporting skills.

Must have appreciation of ORAP values and be prepared to work with ORAP grassroots structures.
