Job Title: Mandarin-English Translator (1)
Role Purpose:
An organisation in the Cement and Lime Industry is seeking for an experienced Mandarin-English Translator to join our team based in Harare.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate verbal interpretation during meetings, site visits, negotiations and operational discussions.
- Translate technical, administrative, and official documents between Mandarin and English.
- Facilitate effective communication between Chinese management and local employees and stakeholders.
- Support cross-cultural understanding within the organization.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
Requirements
- Relevant Degree or Diploma in Translation, Linguistics, or related field.
- Minimum three years professional translation experience in the Cement Industry.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
- Sound understanding of both Chinese and Zimbabwean cultural contexts to facilitate effective cross-cultural communication.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
