Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production, has exciting and challenging career opportunities at its Smelter in Kwekwe. Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced persons to fill the following position on a fixed- term contract basis.
Low Level Diesel Plant Fitter
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all wheel bolts and other major components are
secure on mobile equipment Greasing and checking lube oil levels
in engine, diffs and transmission and correct as necessary - Checking coolant/water levels and correct as necessary
- Carrying out PPMs on mobile equipment as instructed
- Carrying out housekeeping in the work stations
- Inspection and replacement of idlers on conveyors
- Assist High Level Diesel Plant Fitters on major overhauls
- Relief standby duties if necessary
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- At least 5 O’ Levels including Mathematics and English
- SST training in mechanical / diesel plant fitting work
- At least a Class 4 NEC Certificate in Diesel Plant fitting a distinct
advantage - Highly Commendable Safety and Disciplinary Record
- At least 3 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment
