Logistics Officer: The Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ)

The Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ) is a not-for profit umbrella body for Pentecostal and Evangelical Churches and Para Church Organization whose mission is to mobilize, empower and network Evangelicals for the accomplishment of the Great Commission. EFZ is seeking for a dynamic, innovative and suitable young Christian to fill a post that has risen in the Fellowship.

Job Purpose
To provide the Fellowship with logistics capacity to implement and manage projects as well as responsible and accountable for procurement and logistics activities.

Job Specification
Conduct procurement and logistics tasks including stores management; Analyze procurement requests, identify service providers and evaluate information regarding vendors’ performance; Solicit bids, quotations and tender documents; Distribution of goods and services; Customs Clearance; Asset and property management; Fleet management including coordination of Drivers; Insurance of vehicles and property; Quality control; Assist with the oversight management of all programs logistics support services; Undertaking frequent field travel to program sites.

Person Specification
At least 5 Ordinary Level passes including Math and English; A degree or higher diploma in Business Administration / Business Studies /Purchasing and Supply or Social Science together with a professional qualification such as CIPS or equivalent; At least 2 years’ experience working in a demanding environment, preferably with an NGO or FBO; Excellent Communication skills both oral and written; fluent in English and Shona/Ndebele; Public, Negotiation and Mediation Skills, as well as time management and decision- making skills; and paying attention to details; A proactive person with initiative and drive, honest with a high level of integrity, a
team player with good planning skills; Clean Driver’s License; Computer literate; A Christian and being a member of EFZ is an added advantage
