We carry out projects in 39 countries and campaigns for fairer cooperation with developing countries.We are looking for suitable candidates to fill the position of Logistics Assistant. If you are prepared to dedicate yourself to carrying out projects under sometimes difficult conditions and you match the requirements set out below, we look forward to receiving your application.The Logistics Assistant will report to the Logistics Coordinator and will assist with management of all logistics areas including procurement, fleet management, assets and warehouse among others.

The duties will include

Procurement: Procure materials and services according to set standards; Monitor availability of supplies (office groceries, toiletries etc.) and arrange for replenishment; Prepare tender documents using compliant documentation and in consultation with the Logistics Coordinator; Develop, maintain and update a database on suppliers

Transport Management: Prepare and maintain vehicle running charts and follow up with projects for their running charts; Maintain service schedule for all vehicles, and renewal periods for all licenses

Asset Management: Maintain an asset register for country office as well as for projects; Document all asset movement; Tagging of all assets

Warehouse Assistant: Assist in maintain the warehouse clean and in order; Organise load and offloading of goods at the warehouse; Warehouse Documentation

Administrative: Make administrative and logistical arrangements for office activities (meetings, workshops etc.); Assist in organising travel and accommodation for staff and visitors

Qualifications, Experience and Skills required

University degree in the field of Procurement or Logistics; At least 2 years experience working in an NGO setup; Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications; Ability to travel to the operational areas on frequent basis as project demands; Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously; Clean class 2 drivers licence and valid defensive driving certificate
