POST A
Applicants should be holders of BSc (Honours) or B Tech (Honours) with relevant content for the
post and an MSc/MPhil in Biochemistry/Applied Biochemistry. The candidate should have at least
2 years work experience in an institution of higher education or a research institution. Experience in
the assessment of students and supervision of research projects in the area of specialisation as well as
curriculum development will be an added advantage. A PhD or a registration for a PhD in the
relevant field will be an added advantage.
The candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and practical training of undergraduate and
postgraduate students in the areas of Chemistry of Biomolecules, Analytical Biochemistry, Advanced
Biochemistry and Molecular Physiology. Supervision of research projects in the area of specialisation
will be expected.
POST B
Applicants should be holders of BSc (Honours) or B Tech (Honours) with relevant content for the
post and an MSc/MPhil in Biological Sciences/Applied Biology. The candidate should have at least
2 years of work experience in an institution of higher education or a research institution. Experience in
the assessment of students and supervision of research projects in the area of specialisation as well as
curriculum development will be an added advantage. A PhD or a registration for a PhD in the
relevant field will be an added advantage.
The candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and practical training of undergraduate and
postgraduate students in the areas of Animal Physiology, Cell Biology, Environmental Science and
Genetics. Supervision of research projects in the area of specialisation will be expected.
POST C
Applicants should be holders of BSc (Honours) or B Tech (Honours) with relevant content for the
post and an MSc/MPhil in Microbiology/Applied Microbiology. The candidate should have at least
2 years of work experience in an institution of higher education or a research institution. Experience in
the assessment of students and supervision of research projects in the area of specialisation as well as
curriculum development will be an added advantage. A PhD or a registration for a PhD in the
relevant field will be an added advantage.
The candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and practical training of undergraduate and
postgraduate students in the areas of General Microbiology, Food Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology
and Medical Microbiology. Supervision of research projects in the area of specialisation will be
expected.
