Applicants must have an earned PhD in the field of Supply Chain Management or should be a registered PhD student, and a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a closely related discipline with a Merit pass or better. A good foundation degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline is a must.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership to the Department, initiate, guide and contribute to basic and applied research programmes in the Department as well as teach the following ‘ courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level: Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness Sustainable Procurement, Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Distribution Logistics, Purchasing Management / I Information Systems, Warehouse Management, Store Inventory ‘ Management, Business Maths and Statistics, Financial Accounting, Business Communication and Public Speaking, Principles of Management land related areas.
In addition, the candidate will be expected to coordinate and participate in the supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research students. University teaching experience is a distinct advantage.
