Laundry Supervisor – Cresta Lodge Zimbabwe

Job Purpose
Responsible for overseeing Laundry operations to deliver an excellent Guest experience through provision of clean, quality linen to support the hotel’s standards.

Duties
1 . Oversee overall Laundry operations.
2. Enforce proper wash up & laundry procedures in line with hotel standards.
3. Oversee control of linen through well managed dispatch systems.
4. Recommend chemical purchases, usage & control in line with business operations
5. Maintain & update laundry productivity reports periodically.
6. Direct laundry personnel to ensure consistent supply of clean, neat and quality linen.
7. Schedule preventative maintenance of laundry machinery & equipment and co-ordinate functional repairs.
8. Support departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
9. Monitor the appearance, standards and performance of the Laundry Team with an emphasis on training and teamwork
10. Ensure team members have an up-to-date knowledge of all Laundry and machinery trends. 1 1 . Ensure staffing levels cover business demands
12. Ensure ongoing training to support laundry operations
13. Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
14. Manage staff performance issues in compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications
• 5 years’ experience in a similar role in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• HND in Hospitality Management or equivalent
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
• Ability to work under pressure
• High level of IT proficiency
