Key Responsibilities
- Installing, configuring and maintaining computer hardware, software and network systems
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting to all departments
- Administering the Council’s local area network (LAN), internet and email systems
- Implementing and monitoring IT security policies, data backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Managing and updating the Council’s website and digital platforms
- Conducting staff training on the use of IT systems and tools
- Preparing IT-related reports and advising management on technology upgrades
Requirements
- A Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support or systems administration
- Hands-on experience with network administration, server management and cybersecurity practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical staff
