Vacancy : IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Reporting to the Information Systems Manager, the job exists to provide IT Support to the organisation and users in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Performance Areas

• Assists provide technical support for the electricity vending system as well as the Powertel Billing system.
• Provides technical support for users of all supported PC software and business application packages.

• Monitors and records all problem resolution activities and report on performance.
• Provides technical support for remote site staff.
• Carries out software upgrades as and when they become due

• Assists carry out planned maintenance of current systems
• Carries out software installations according to user requirements
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Information Systems Manager

Qualifications and Experience

• Five Ordinary Levels including English Language and Mathematics
• A Degree in Information Systems/Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
• 2 years relevant experience
• Membership of a recognized professional institution
