Key Responsibilities

  • Execute risk-based financial, operational, compliance, information systems and value-for-money audits across the Group.
  • Review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over revenue, expenditure, cash, assets, inventory, procurement, payroll and financial reporting.
  • Assess ERP and business-system controls, including user access, segregation of duties, configuration, interfaces, master data, change management, backups and audit trails.
  • Evaluate controls over websites, mobile applications, digital subscriptions, e-commerce, streaming, content management, advertising technology, payment channels and other digital platforms.
  • Conduct IT general controls and application controls reviews covering infrastructure, databases, cloud services, networks, endpoints and third-party technology services.
  • Assess cyber-security governance, identity and access management, vulnerability management, incident response, data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery controls.
  • Undertake fraud-risk assessments, forensic investigations and data-driven reviews; preserve evidence and produce clear, defensible reports where required.
  • Use data analytics and computer-assisted audit techniques to identify anomalies, control failures, revenue leakage, fraud indicators and process inefficiencies.
  • Prepare concise audit reports, agree practical corrective actions with management and track implementation to closure.
  • Keep abreast of developments in internal audit, accounting, ERP systems, cyber security, digital media, data analytics and forensic auditing.

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, finance, accounting, IT audit, cyber security, risk, compliance or forensic investigation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial and management accounting, internal controls, audit methodology, governance, risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Practical exposure to ERP environments and enterprise applications. Experience auditing ERP access, workflows, configurations, interfaces and automated controls is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of IT governance, cyber-security frameworks, information security controls, data privacy, digital-platform risks and technology resilience.
  • Experience in forensic auditing, fraud examination, digital evidence handling or investigation techniques is an added advantage.
  • Ability to use audit, data-analysis and productivity tools to interrogate large datasets and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience in printing, publishing, broadcasting, packaging, manufacturing, media or digital businesses is an added advantage.
  • Clean Class 4/Code BE driver’s licence
  • Highest standards of integrity, independence, confidentiality and professional judgement.
  • Highly analytical, inquisitive and attentive to detail, with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, sound stakeholder-management skills and the confidence to challenge constructively.
  • Results-focused, self-motivated, adaptable and able to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Prepared to travel outside Harare as required. A clean Class 4 driver’s licence is an added advantage.
  • A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security or a related discipline.
  • A recognised professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIS, CIA, CISA, CFE or equivalent. Progress towards an appropriate qualification may be considered where supported by strong relevant experience.
  • Membership of a recognised professional body, such as the Institute of Internal Auditors, ISACA, ACFE or an accounting institute, is an added advantage.
