DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for overseeing and maintaining network equipment, new servers, new
workstations, PABX, email accounts and supporting underlying server/ desk top
infrastructure
• Responsible for end-to-end IT support including but not limited to IT systems, business
systems, office systems, computer networks, telephone systems and organisation wide
Wi-Fi connectivity
• Day to day IT support including the identification and implementation of solutions to
user challenges related to the use of personal computer equipment
• Responsible for coordinating efficient service delivery by all software vendors including
internet, POS and telephone management system
• Maintenance and management of an IT asset and licenses register
• Maintenance of a logbook detailing system errors, reported IT problems and remedies
• Ensuring daily system backups and managing the disaster recovery process
• Provide leadership in all IT projects including detailing project scope, budget and
support staff requirements
• Use of system level profiling tools and network monitoring systems to aid in application performance and profiling

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A bachelor`s degree in information and technology, computer science, or related field.
• Experience in IT operations in a healthcare set up is desirable
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience with medical related applications is essential
• Competitive certification in the following areas: (“IT Support Engineer” OR “IT
Technician” OR “Helpdesk Engineer “OR “1st Line Support Engineer” OR “2nd Line Support Engineer” OR “3rd Line Support” “Service Desk” “1st 2nd Line Support”
“Network Deployment Engineer” “Network Infrastructure Engineer” “Network Support
Technician”) IT Support, Network Administration, Server Administration, Active
Directory, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Unifi Networking, Printers, Systems and Data analytics.
