Job Description/Summary
This position brings a technical skill set, which is critical to the Internal Audit, activity’s processes and audit methods Reporting to the Senior Internal Auditor, the ICT Auditor is a highly motivated, results focused professional, who takes satisfaction in using their knowledge and creativity to accomplish challenging audit tasks with increasing effectiveness and efficiency over time
The ICT Auditor, has an integrated skill set, which includes a combination it technical knowledge of information, communication and technology, accounting, operations and auditing techniques. This person uses their many skills to efficiently and effectively understand and evaluate some of the most complex information systems, processes, risks and transactions
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Executing all information systems audit engagements as per the annual risk based audit plan
• Performs data mining and audit analytics for their own engagements and also as a team member for engagement, led by other auditors using ACL
• Conduct risk assessments and internal control testing.
• Implement and maintains technology enabled continuous auditing analytics and automated reports using ALL Analytic Exchange.
• Perform audit project work, either leading projects or participating as a term member on projects being led by other internal auditors Projects cover a full spectrum of services such as risk assessments, financial auditing, operational auditing, information security program evaluation, internal control testing, data analytic, I.T consulting, advisory services, fraud investigations.
• Improves overall office audit processes by training and coaching staff / associate on new techniques/technologies
• Performs certain tasks, initiatives and special request as may be assigned by the Internal Audit Manager
Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree/ HND in Computer Science or Information Systems
• 2 or more years’ experience in information technology, auditing, business analysis or other relevant disciplines
• At least 1 year experience of data analytics using ACL.
• A problem solver with the ability to come up with creative solutions and meaningful recommendations.
• Process oriented ( i.e can quickly understand processes and businesses issues, and how I T systems support processes)
• Ability to work overtime as deadlines and circumstances may require.
Preferred Qualifications
• Professional designation including but not limited to CISA, CIA or equivalent.
• Preference may be given to specific skills and experience. Particularly auditing, continuous auditing and data analytics, including such technical skills as,
• i) Audit automation (e.g. scheduling, scripting, querying and aggregating information, matching, filtering .e.t.c).
• Proficiency with SQL
• Microsoft Office fools
