ICT Assistant

The UZCHS-PERFECT program is calling for applications from suitably qualified candidates for an ANTICIPATED grant to implement the CHIP initiative under the STRengthening InterProfessional Education for HIV (STRIPE HIV) program. These will form the CHIP administrative team that will work under the supervision of the UZCHS-PERFECT Program Director with immediate supervision by the CHIP Principal Investigator. This initiative will be funded through the University of California, San Francisco and AFREhealth by Human Resources and Services Administration for a period of 9 months. Please note that the offer of employment will only be confirmed once funding has been approved.

The person shall be responsible for the design and development of training, learning and assessment e-resources for the CHIP program in collaboration with the UZCHS-PERFECT ICT Specialist, Training Coordinator, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Communication Officer, and the Principal Investigators. S/He will be under the direct supervision of the UZCHS-PERFECT Training Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities

Work with the training coordinator and content experts to scope and plan the development of training e-resources for sustainability;
Work with the training coordinator and content experts on the development of training e-resources to implement innovative approaches to learning;
Provides design, development, technology integration, and planning for instructional implementation;
Work with trainees and facilitators to ensure that e-resources are being used effectively;
Work with the ICT Specialist to deploy and maintain the organization’s online presence.

Qualifications & Competencies

Relevant qualification in instructional design, educational technology or similar;
Qualification in web development and/or graphic designing will be an added advantage;
Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology;
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models;
Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System;
Familiar with website design, program editing, video technology, Web conferencing and other multimedia;
Strong writing and communication skills
