HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Human Resources Officer which has arisen in our Institute. Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will report to the Deputy Director General his/her duties are as follows:-

1 Develop and interpret human resources policies and procedures 2 Identify human resources training and development needs and facilitates training and development processes. 3 Advise management on the recruitment, selection and promotion procedures. 4. Advises staff on conditions of service i.e. Pension, leave, NSSA, Medical Aid, Insurances, Promotions, Discharges/ Terminations, etc. 5 Initiates human resources management reports Handles industrial relations issues, (worker’s committees, disciplinary committees and works council etc.) 6 Handles welfare issues, funeral assistance, loans and occupational health and safety. 7 Administers salaries and benefits.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Degree in Human Resources Management, Sociology or Equivalent 2. Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent ( a Must) 3. Master in Business Administration (an added advantage) 4 At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position Attributes The candidate should have the following attributes: 1 Good interpersonal skills 2 Bea good listener 3 Bea good Negotiator
