Handyman

Duties and Responsibilities

Attends to all reported maintenance faults
Maintains adequate stocks of maintenance consumables
Reports ZESA and ZINWA faults as soon as possible
Reports acts of theft and vandalism to management and security
Maintains sewer ponds
Ensures that gullies and drains are kept free from debris
Repairs and maintains all electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry installations of the Institute and staff residences
Troubleshoots general maintenance problems
Prepare annual preventive maintenance plan for all facilities
General maintenance of the Institute
Supervision of subordinates

Qualifications and Experience

5 “0” Levels including Maths and English
Class 4 driver’s license
HND in electrical Engineering OR Mechanical Engineering OR Plumbing
. At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
An all-rounder able to carry out general maintenance work
Must be able to work independently and keep cl;ear and accurate details
Must be able to discover and diagnose problems to do with maintenance
