Group Accountant
Duties And Responsibilities
1.1. Compile and consolidate budgets for the group and its subsidiaries in close consultation with each SBU and prepare such for adoption by Executive Management and the Board.
1.2. Preparation of SBU cash flow forecast in line with set business work plans and consolidation of such cash flows.
1.3. Preparation of quarterly, half yearly and annual financial accounts for each SBU and group consolidation for presentation to the board and other external uses.
1.4. Maintaining the groups asset register by SBU and consolidation of the same.
1.5. Analysis of actual cash flow against projected both for weekly and monthly and recommendation on future cash flow planning based on analysis of actual against projected.
1.6. Ensuring that all the banks are adequately funded and confirmation of availability of funds before transactions are done in line with approved cash flows.
1.7. Preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual tax return and submission to Zimbabwe Revenue Authority in line with set deadlines.
1.8. Championing stock takes and reconciliation across the group and recommending improvements on stock management and remedies on all problem areas identified.
1.9. Championing the acquisition and maintenance of operating/accounting systems to ensure cost effective and real time transactions processing and information storage.
Qualifications And Experience
Person Specifications
• At least 5 years’ experience – senior level Accountant.
• At least a degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Additional certification – ACCA qualification/CIMA/CIS.
• Knowledge of Pastel Evolution.
• A Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent would be an added advantage
