**Purpose of the Job**
This is a learnership programme designed to provide hands-on experience in basic accounting and administrative functions at branch level. The incumbent will support branch operations and gain exposure to financial and operations management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing brief analysis reports and appraisals on projects to evaluate viability for funding approval to ensure informed decision-making.
- Conducting credit checks on the client’s financial history.
- Conducting periodic visits to clients who have running projects to assess how projects are operated and to create solutions to address challenges being encountered.
- Conducting market analysis for the reduction of risk and mitigating those risks for the benefit of the organization.
- Producing reports highlighting how SMEs are benefiting from funds availed to them by SMEDCO.
- Assisting in general branch administration and accounts clerical duties.
- Any other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Basic accounting and office administration skills.
- Strong multitasking and decision-making abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data capturing.
- Familiarity with current office management practices and trends is an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English, Ndebele, and Shona is also required.
- A Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship or Finance.
- A qualification in Business Administration or a related field will be an added advantage.
