Please note that the duties and responsibilities of a lecturer,Senior Lecturer Associate professor and Professor are grouped into 5 main categories which are:

(a)Teaching –incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to the Department and a faculty guidelines and standards.
(b) University Service end Community engagement – the incumbent should participate in all Department, Faculty/School and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars among others.
(c) Research – the incumbent is expected to engage in active research in his/her area of specialization which benefits both the Students and the University
(d) Innovations – leading to tangible products and services
(e) Industrialization- through commercialization of products

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s of Computer Science degree with a 2.1
• Masters degree in Computer Science Education or a Master of Scince Degree in Computer Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
• PhD in Educational Computing is an added advantage.

Competencies and responsibilities
The candidate must possess any of the following competencies:
• Ability to carry out a systems analysis and design
• Ability to use a wide range of specialist digital media packages.
• Ability to use a wide range of multimedia Web programming languages such as HTML 5, Flash, PHP and Ruby on Rails etc.
• Ability to use multimedia game programming languages in digital game development graphics game engine, digital multimedia development graphic design for the web, scripting, software development era and abbe al intelligence.
• Ability to write HTML or similar input and use authoring packages where appropriate to create content and effects.
• Ability to research and keep abreast of emerging technologies in older to be able to deliver the most up to date solutions inducing leaning new programming languages or technologies.
