Food Technologist/Production Specialist
The potential candidate needs to meet the following requirements,
• Degree/Diploma in Food Science / Food Technology /Biotechnology and / or equivalent. • 2-5 years of experience in product development, preferably with familiarity in stability testing, quality assurance, food regulations and validation principles. • Knowledge of Food Safely Management principles and Good Manufacturing Practices. • Track record of R&D experience with successful development of food products and / beverages from concept to launch stage. • Computer Literacy • Possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. • Self-starter with attention to detail, initiative and accuracy (essential).
Responsibilities:
• Modify existing products and processes and develop new ones • Check and suggest improvements to safety and quality control procedures in Vital and suppliers’ factories, from the raw material stage through to the finished product • Research current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts • Prepare product castings based on row materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products • Run trials of new products – either alongside or together with product development • Assist in investigating customer complaints or product related issues • Compile, check and approve product specifications and labelling in conjunction with the regulatory department • Design and optimise processes to ensure beverages are manufactured with consistent flavour, colour and texture in large quantities
