Established in 1987, Population Services Zimbabwe (PSZ) an affiliate of Marie Stopes International, is one of the largest specialised sexual and reproductive health (SRH) organisations in Zimbabwe, complementing the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
FLEET OFFICER (x1)
Location: Harare Support Office
The incumbent will report to the Procurement and Logistics Manager.
Duties And Responsibilities
The Role
The primary responsibility of this role is providing monitoring and assessment of driver performance and fleet movement. Working as the first contact person for all issues involving drivers and fleet management concerns.
Responsible for monitoring and interpretation of fleet management software including accurate and timely entry of data and maintaining accurate record of fuel consumption for each vehicle and putting controls and systems to ensure efficient vehicle management. Processing vehicles statutory payments and keeping up to date records of registration, inspections, transfer and maintenance of vehicles.
Analysing vehicles log-books, fuel log sheets, vehicle tracking systems and reconcile with mileage covered and collate and analyse statistics of fleet utilisation,
fuel consumption, maintenance and repairs to inform management decisions. Managing all fleet administration including physical vehicle inspection, maintaining inventory for each vehicle, manage vehicle accidents/incidents involving police reports, insurance submissions and providing logistics support to ensure efficiency deliveries and teams movement.
Qualifications And Experience
About You
To succeed in this role, you must have:
Diploma with Chartered Institute of Transport Management (CILT)or equivalent
Computer literacy (MS word, Excel, ability to use any fleet management software)
Technical skills (mechanics or auto electronics an added advantage)
A good command of written and spoken reporting skills
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in the NGO sector will be an added advantage.
